BREAKING: Tinubu Awards Super Eagles With MON Merit

President Bola Tinubu has presented the Super Eagles with the Member of the Order of the Niger (MON) national honor as a recognition of their exceptional performance at the recently concluded AFCON 2023 tournament in Ivory Coast.

In addition to the prestigious title, each team member was also given a flat and a plot of land in the FCT.

Although Ivory Coast emerged as the winners of the AFCON, Nigeria secured a commendable second place.

The Nigerian squad was honored with their titles at the State House during their arrival, where all team members and officials, including Alex Iwobi, who had previously faced cyber-attacks following the loss to Ivory Coast, were present.

By receiving the national honors, they now join the esteemed company of other notable individuals such as Imam Abdullahi Abubakar, HRM Eze Isaac Ikonne, Dr. Faisal Shuaibu, Chief Silva Ejeh Ameh, Alh. Kamoru Ibitoye Yusuf, Mallam Ibrahim Okposi, Alhaji Shehu Uthman, Barr. Chris Ezem, Davido, and Teni.
