President Tinubu pays tribute to Late Akeredolu

President Bola Tinubu paid tribute to the late Rotimi Akeredolu, former Governor of Ondo State, praising him as a brave warrior and a strong advocate for the people of the state.

Speaking at Akeredolu’s funeral at St. Andrews Church in Owo, Tinubu commended his courage and dedication to serving Ondo State, despite his recent passing from prostate cancer at the age of 67 on December 27.

“We gather here today, reminded of life’s transient nature, yet inspired by the enduring legacy of our dear brother, Rotimi Akeredolu. His journey, from a distinguished legal career to his pivotal role as Governor of Ondo State, reflects a steadfast commitment to truth and service,” Tinubu remarked.

Represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima, Tinubu highlighted Akeredolu’s lasting impact on national service and the choices he made in his life.

Tinubu recognized Akeredolu’s intellect and unwavering commitment to his beliefs, stating that he remained steadfast in his efforts to improve society.

“In every facet of his life, Akeredolu epitomized integrity and unwavering determination. His legacy will endure as a beacon of hope and inspiration for generations,” Tinubu affirmed.
