England avoided a second consecutive home defeat with a 2-2 draw against Belgium thanks to Jude Bellingham‘s last-minute penalty.
The Real Madrid player scored in the game’s final minute, denying Belgium victory following Youri Tielemans’ brace.
Belgium’s threat on the counter-attack was clear throughout the game, with Tielemans seizing on a Jordan Pickford error to put the visitors ahead.
Despite the loss, Ivan Toney, in his full debut, leveled the game for England from the penalty spot.
However, Tielemans struck again before halftime, heading home from a Romelu Lukaku cross to put Belgium back in front.
The second half slowed, with Bellingham squandering England’s best opportunity with a missed header.
However, his late goal spared Gareth Southgate’s side from defeat, earning them a hard-fought draw against a strong Belgian side.
