Beverly Naya, a British-born Nigerian film actress, shared a tragic incident on a blog.
Her career, she claimed, was nearly over after a blog made false allegations against her.
She claimed the tweet harmed her self-esteem, forcing her to question whether continuing her career as an actress was worthwhile.
During a recent interview with Chude Jideonwo, the actress claimed that the blog published numerous unfavorable pieces about her.
The 34-year-old actress also said it seemed like a personal attack because she had been bullied in the past.
She questioned why she was frequently targeted for criticism on the site.
Beverly Naya stated in part:
“It really got to me and it damaged my self esteem and it made me doubt myself like I really don’t feel like I want to continue in this industry, I wanted to quit on several occasions”
The ebony beauty revealed that it greatly depressed her, making her doubt her acting ability in the entertainment world, forcing her to nearly abandon her acting profession on several occasions.
Beverly Naya recounted the event, referring to a specific blog post titled “Nollywood, Can We Please Stop Making Beverly Naya Happen!” She grew emotionally depressed.
The actress went on to claim that she felt insignificant because her work in films showed.
