Tragic news has been announced regarding veteran Nollywood actor John Okafor, known as Mr Ibu, who has sadly passed away.
According to Instagram blogger Tosin Silverdam, Mr Ibu passed away early this morning at the age of 62 at Evercare Hospital in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos State.
Prior to his death, Mr Ibu had undergone multiple surgeries, including the amputation of his leg.
Reports also indicated that he had undergone another surgery on the same leg, resulting in difficulty speaking.
This devastating news comes just a day after the passing of Yoruba actor Sisi Quadri at the age of 44. Our thoughts are with both actors’ families and loved ones during this difficult time.
Giving the update after confirming the death of Mr Ibu, Tosin Silverdam wrote; “Popular and legendary nollywood icon Mr Ibu passes on 💔💔💔”
