Nigerian up-and-coming artist, Chisom Faith, also known as Rexxie, pleads for help after being detained by Ugandan authorities.

The singer, who recently proposed to his girlfriend, took to Instagram on Monday to share his distress.

He disclosed that he is currently being held by Ugandan Immigration but did not provide further details regarding the reason for his arrest, which he believes is unjust.

Calling upon his supporters, Rexxie asked them to rally for his freedom with the hashtag “UgandaFreeRexxie.”

“I’ve been arrested at the Ugandan Immigration. Pls I need help. This is so unfair! HELP HELP HELP!!! #UgandaFreeRexxie,” he wrote.
