Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, a Nigerian crossdresser, has been sentenced to 6 months in jail without the option of paying a fine.
In a ruling issued this morning, April 12, 2024, Justice Abimbola Awogboro of the Federal High Court in Lagos condemned him to 6 months in prison without the option of a fine.
It is no longer news that Bobrisky was detained by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission for alleged currency mutilation and Naira abuse.
During his court appearance last week, he pleaded guilty to Naira abuse and asked the court and judge to give him another chance.
He promised to make good use of his platform to inform and educate his followers about spraying money as he begged the judge to tamper justice with Mercy. Unfortunately, the judge didn’t excuse his bad behavior and reserved his case till April 9th.
