EFCC grants Bobrisky bail following arrest

Nigerians react as EFCC releases mugshot of Bobrisky

Famous Nigerian crossdresser and internet personality, Bobrisky, has been granted bail by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

However, reports from sources speaking to Linda Ikeji’s Blog indicate that Bobrisky has yet to meet the conditions of his bail, which have not been disclosed at this time.

The news of Bobrisky’s arrest by the EFCC on April 3rd at Pinnock Estate in Lagos State had circulated earlier.

A spokesperson for the commission, Dele Oyewale, confirmed the arrest to Linda Ikeji Blog, stating that Bobrisky was arrested for currency mutilation and Naira abuse. He will soon face charges in court.

The EFCC had even released Bobrisky’s mugshot and shared more details about his arrest, including his presence at Eniola Ajao’s movie premiere for “Ajanaku”.

After Bobrisky’s arrest, internet users unearthed a video of him showering money at Eniola Ajao’s movie premiere, with many coming to his defense by pointing out that it is a common practice at Nigerian parties.

Some believed that the EFCC was targeting him unfairly to serve as an example to others.

His rival, Very Dark Man, took pleasure in Bobrisky’s arrest and warned the owner of the estate where Bobrisky resides to steer clear of the EFCC’s investigation.

VDM hinted in a video that he played a role in Bobrisky’s arrest and threatened to file a petition against him for suspected money laundering.

He also suggested that any influential person trying to intervene on Bobrisky’s behalf is involved in inappropriate activities with him.
