The Canadian Senate praises Burna Boy for his accomplishments in Afrobeat music and the positive influence he has had in the country.

According to Marcel Lebleu, Director General of the West and Central Africa Bureau, the artist sold out two performances at The Bell Centre in Montreal, attracting 35,000 attendees each time.

Lebleu also expressed concerns about the lack of recognition given to the cultural and Nollywood industries in Canada.
