EPL: I am closer to leaving Man City – Guardiola

Man City finally set to announce Haaland capture, by activating his release clause

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has indicated that he is leaning towards leaving rather than staying with the Premier League champions.

After securing their fourth consecutive title with a 3-1 win over West Ham, Guardiola, who has won the English top flight six times, stated that he has not yet made a decision about his future.

With one year remaining on his contract at the Etihad, his plans are still up in the air.

“The reality is, I’m closer to leaving than to staying,” he told Sky Sports.

“It’s eight years; it will be nine. Right now, my feeling is I want to stay next season. We talked with the club. We have time to talk next season because I have to see the players as well; if they follow me, they follow us.”
