TikTok star Nicki DaBarbie has finally spoken out after her recent arrest and subsequent release on bail, addressing accusations of cyberstalking against musician Skiibii.
Despite being granted bail after spending two weeks in jail, the controversy surrounding her arrest continues to stir up discussions.
Nicki DaBarbie’s arrest stemmed from her allegations against Skiibii and Mayorkun, claiming they had drugged her for ritual purposes.
In a recent social media post, she expressed frustration at facing imprisonment whenever she defends herself.
Critiquing the justice system, Nicki DaBarbie suggested that it favors the wealthy and famous, often overlooking the truth and evidence.
She believes that her live video during the incident may have been crucial to her safety, preventing a worse outcome.
In her words;
“Whenever I speak up for myself I get thrown in prison. If you threaten my life, I’ll still call you out, prison or no prison. The system is messed up. It’s who is more popular and has more money they would side with, even with all your evidence. Who knows what would have happened if I hadn’t quickly gone live that day. Maybe my dead body would have been found on the roadside just to keep me silent. Grateful to God almighty for my life. Each time I trust a man, they show me shege banza.”
