West Ham midfielder, Lucas Paqueta, could face a disgraceful end to his football career as he faces a possible ten-year ban for alleged involvement in gambling activities.
The English football association has charged him with four counts of spot-fixing in Premier League matches, including games against Leicester, Aston Villa, Leeds, and Bournemouth.
Reports suggest that the scandal has cost him a potential £80 million transfer to Manchester City.
If found guilty, Paqueta could receive a similar career-ending ban to that of former Reading defender Kynan Isaac, who was banned for ten years for deliberately getting booked in a match.
