Oratile Mabitsela, a renowned reality TV star best known for participating in the Showmax hit Mommy Club, is reportedly served with divorce papers by her husband, Elias Lehlohonolo Mabitsela. According to the Sunday World, the high-profile couple’s marriage has dissolved due to charges of infidelity and domestic abuse.
According to Sunday World, the breakup was announced by a close relative who desired to stay unknown. Elias, a prominent businessman, has accused Oratile of having many extramarital affairs and committing acts of domestic violence. According to the relative, Elias claims that Oratile assaulted him physically, verbally, emotionally, and psychologically during their marriage.
“He said Oratile had romantic relationships in different places and that she often assaulted him during their arguments,” the relative disclosed. “There were times when she threw items at him, damaged his belongings, and even punched him, necessitating medical attention.”
According to Sunday World, Elias also alleges that Oratile failed to provide him with emotional and physical support, instead focusing on her own interests and relationships. He claims she would take pictures of him during disputes to portray him as the abuser, further deepening his distress.
Sunday World also reported that the accusations paint a picture of a tumultuous relationship, with Elias stating that Oratile humiliated and mistreated him, leaving him feeling anxious and unsupported. Despite his efforts to save the marriage, he has now concluded that reconciliation is impossible.
“He feels the marriage has broken down irretrievably and there’s no prospect of reconciliation through counselling or reflection,” the relative said. Elias has informed his lawyers that he seeks joint parental rights over their children, including primary care and accommodation for their twins.
Oratile, however, denies all allegations. “There is no truth to the claims of me beating up my husband or cheating on him,” she said, defending her integrity amid the controversy.
