Controversial activist Aisha Yesufu made headlines recently when she publicly rejected the newly adopted national anthem, refusing to honor it during a public event.
A viral video captured her sitting unbothered while the anthem was recited, showcasing her objection to it.
Taking to her social media account, Aisha Yesufu shared the video of her protest with the hashtag #NotMyNationalAnthem, clearly indicating her disapproval of the reintroduction of the old national anthem.
This act of defiance comes in the wake of President Bola Tinubu signing the National Anthem Bill 2024 into law, which brought back the old anthem “Nigeria, We Hail Thee.”
