An Abuja Federal High Court cleared Tigran Gambaryan and Nadeem Anjarwalla of Binance Holdings Limited of tax evasion charges on Friday.
The case, brought by the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), saw the charges amended after Binance appointed a Nigerian representative, Ayodele Omotilewa.
Initially, the FIRS accused Binance and Gambaryan of tax evasion on March 22, 2024 .
However, on May 17, 2024, the FIRS amended the charges, alleging that Binance had not collected and remitted certain taxes as required by the law.
After confirming Binance’s appointment of Omotilewa as their representative, the FIRS filed new charges with Binance as the sole defendant in the case.
