Godwin Enakhena, a sports administrator and broadcaster, has sent a goodwill letter to Babafemi Raji, who resigned as Brila Media Group’s programming and content group manager.
Raji announced his resignation on social media on Thursday, citing a desire to pursue other opportunities.
In an Instagram post, Enakhena wished the former Super Eagles media officer well on his new path while sharing his experience with quitting a job.
He wrote, “Congratulations @Babafemi Raji one of the most difficult decisions to take/make in life is to quit a job you’ve been doing for a long time.
“It begins with your emotional attachment to your employer, fans and colleagues reactions, family interest, what the future holds even when you think you’ve it sorted, etc.
“And the day you dropped your resignation letter, you’ll hear or read good and negative comments, and finally when you walk through that door…!
“@Babafemi Raji I took same decision in 2004, my wife had held me back for some time, she was skeptical but I had made up my mind because of my desire to serve God. I was tired of being a *Let’s share the grace Christian* and I’ll be off to work on Sundays, I was working all through the 7 days of the week.”
Enakhena, director of sports at the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), prayed for Raji that God would order his steps.
“As you move on to the next phase of your life @Babafemi Raji I have these prayers for you, the good God that we serve will order your steps, you will not need help from unfriendly friends and you’ll not regret helping people, in the name of Jesus. Congratulations for a good race at Brila FM, you finished well,” he wrote.
