Premier League clubs are set to vote on Thursday on the future of Video Assistant Referee (VAR) technology.
The clubs will convene at their annual general meeting, with Wolves leading the charge to scrap VAR after feeling hard done by several decisions in the 2023/2024 season.
Numerous high-profile errors from VAR, such as the failure to award a legitimate goal to Liverpool in their match against Tottenham, have fueled the debate on whether VAR should be continued.
Introduced in 2019, VAR has been a source of contention among fans and players alike.
The proposal to remove VAR requires 14 votes from the 20 clubs, but reports suggest that Wolves are unlikely to garner enough support from their fellow clubs.
According to the UK Mirror, it seems that VAR is here to stay in the Premier League.
