During an interview on The Beat FM Lagos, Afrobeats sensation Ayra Starr clarified her decision to collaborate with Asake and Seyi Vibez, emphasizing that it was solely driven by her appreciation for their musical abilities.

Addressing concerns about the potential rivalry between the two superstars, Ayra Starr stated that her choice to feature them on her second album, ‘The Year I Turned 21,’ was not influenced by any existing tensions.

While there may be perceived tension between their fan bases on social media, there have been no public disputes between Asake and Seyi Vibez.

Ayra Starr said:

“I didn’t put Asake and Seyi Vibez on my album because of their rivalry. I didn’t know about the rivalry between Asake and Seyi Vibez. I just love both of them as artists”
