Senator Ali Ndume has been ousted as the Senate’s Chief Whip. Senator Tahir Monguno has already replaced him.
The Senate replaced Ndume after receiving a directive in a letter from the party’s National Chairman, Umar Ganduje, and National Secretary, Senator Bashir Ajibola.
The APC letter alleged that Ndume, as Chief Whip, was striving to drag the country down with his unguarded statements.
The letter responded to a media interview in which he claimed, “President Bola Tinubu is working with thieves and has also been caged, such that he didn’t know Nigerians are hungry.”
The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, submitted the proposal to a voice vote, which was loudly affirmed.
