The beginning of the hearing into Manchester City’s 115 alleged breaches of Financial Fair Play (FFP) rules has been moved up to September, which is two months earlier than originally planned, as reported by The Times.
The earlier date was decided due to City’s ongoing case against the Premier League, with the verdict expected to be announced in the next two weeks.
In June, City initiated legal action in an effort to challenge the Associated Party Transaction (APT) rules, introduced in 2021, which they deem to be illegal and biased.
Once this case is resolved, the hearing concerning the alleged breaches can commence.
Anticipated to last approximately 10 weeks, barring any further legal complications, the independent commission members are projected to disclose their decision at the beginning of 2025.
