President Bola Tinubu unveiled the inaugural fleet of locally manufactured Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The batch of 20 buses, produced by Innoson Motors, is expected to alleviate transportation challenges in the Federal Capital Territory.
During a break from the Federal Executive Council meeting, President Tinubu personally commissioned five of the CNG buses at the Presidential Villa.
This move comes in response to organized labor’s requests for alternative transportation options following the removal of fuel subsidy by the Federal Government on May 29, 2023.
In a recent meeting at the Presidential Villa, Chief Innocent Chukwuma, the Chairman and CEO of Innoson Motors, discussed the production and delivery of the CNG buses with President Tinubu.
