Adeniyi Johnson, a Nigerian actor, has responded to his suspension from the exclusive African Men Entertainment Kings (AFRIMEK) club, which is renowned for its influential members in the entertainment industry.
The club announced Adeniyi’s suspension on their Instagram page, citing misconduct and violations of their constitution as reasons for the decision.
The post featured Johnson’s picture and stated:
“ADENIYI JOHNSON is hereby suspended indefinitely from the club (AFRIMEK). He has no right to portray himself as a member and is stopped from participating in any club activities. This decision is borne out of his gross misconduct and breach of the club’s constitution.”
In a statement on his own Instagram page, Adeniyi Johnson expressed his disappointment and addressed the allegations, urging his fans to remain calm as he works to address the situation.
Adeniyi Johnson wrote:
“It saddens my heart that my honourable club made such a derogatory post about me!! Please note that I am not bigger than the club, but before the club there has been Adeniyi Johnson. If care isn’t taken, that post will do more harm than good!
“I feel this is detrimental to my name, my family, standard, and even upbringing— more importantly, my brand.
“I hereby implore my family, friends, and teeming fans to stay calm and continue to show unwavering love and support!!!
“To all associates, I remain my humble self and thanks for the continuous belief and trust!! God pass us all!!”
Before his suspension, Adeniyi held the position of Public Relations Officer at AFRIMEK.
