Nigerian singer Davido, real name David Adeleke, recently expressed his heartfelt thanks to Grammy Award winning artist Angelique Kidjo for their successful music collaboration on the track ‘Joy’.
The song, released on August 30th, has been receiving positive feedback online and marks their second collaboration following ‘Na Money’ from Davido’s Timeless album.
During a live session, Davido shared his excitement and gratitude towards Angelique Kidjo, praising her for not only the song but also for her ongoing support in promoting African music globally.
The singer revealed that he has long looked up to Angelique and admired her music since he was a child, thanking the legendary artist for her unwavering support whenever he reaches out.
In his words, “I used to come to Cotonou, Benin, I grew up listening to your music. Thank you for all you do for me and my colleagues like Stonebwoy”.
