Selena Gomez, a popular American actress and singer, has shared that she is unable to conceive children due to health complications.
The star, who battles bipolar disorder and lupus, disclosed that pregnancy would pose a serious risk to her well-being.
“I have a lot of medical issues that would put my life and the baby’s in jeopardy. That was something I had to grieve for a while,” she stated in a recent interview with Vanity Fair.
In 2015, Selena took time off from her busy schedule to address anxiety and depression linked to her lupus diagnosis.
“I am Selena Gomez. That’s it,” she said.
Just two years later, she underwent a kidney transplant as part of her ongoing battle with the autoimmune disease.
Despite these challenges, Selena remains a successful figure in the entertainment industry and a billionaire as reported by Bloomberg. She is currently in a relationship with record producer Benny Blanco.
