Dangote urged Nigerians to disregard the misinformation and wait for a formal pricing announcement, expected on October 1, 2024, as decided by the Presidential Technical Sub-Committee on Naira-based crude sales.

The refinery emphasized that the current stock was purchased in dollars, which provided cost savings compared to the prices NNPCL would pay for imports. They assured the public of continued availability of quality petroleum products nationwide, aiming to put an end to the recurring fuel scarcity.
