BBNaija alum Kim Oprah had some stories regarding her experience with Kenya’s immigration office, and she said it wasn’t nice.
She began by explaining that she had landed in Kenya during a layover and that immigration had stopped her from entering, citing that she would need an ETA visa upon arrival before proceeding.
Kim Oprah stated that she already held a second citizenship, which would ordinarily allow her to enter various African nations without a visa, including Kenya and Tanzania.
However, the Kenyan immigration authorities insisted that she use her Nigerian passport instead and obtain a visa.
Kim Oprah said that the immigration office had told her that African nationals from other countries were using the whole visa-free ruse to commit fraudulent activities, so that is why they insist that everyone should get a visa.
She went on to say that she got permission to enter Kenya freely after applying for a visa on arrival.
According to Kim Oprah, the whole interaction was like a hassle, leaving a sour taste in her mouth.
