Lionel Messi plans to broaden his influence beyond sport by forming his own production business, 525 Rosario.
The company’s name has sentimental importance, with “525” symbolizing the street number of Messi’s family house and “Rosario” referring to his homeland in Argentina.
The company will concentrate on creating family-friendly programs and premium television content.
Messi will collaborate with media titans Smuggler Entertainment to create films, athletic events, and customized ads for athletes, including himself.
Based in both Los Angeles and Miami, where Messi now plays for Inter Miami, the company aims to create content with global appeal.
“Entertainment has always been a passion for me,” Messi said.
“I’m really motivated by the opportunity to pursue the project we created with Smuggler Entertainment and to expand further to create content and experiences on a global scale through this new venture,” he added.
