Manchester City’s 115 Financial Charges Hearing Begins

The long-awaited hearing into Manchester City’s 115 alleged Premier League financial standards breaches began on Monday.

The lawsuit, which might have far-reaching repercussions for English football, is likely to last about two months. A decision is due by the end of the 2024/25 season.

The allegations, which date from 2009 to 2018, accuse City of failing to submit appropriate financial statements, among other violations.

Meanwhile, the club has repeatedly denied any misconduct. If proven guilty, the punishments might include large fines, point reductions, or possibly relegation from the Premier League.

Pep Guardiola, the City manager, has shown trust in the process. “Everyone is presumed innocent until proven guilty.” “I’m looking forward to the decision,” he stated before the hearing.
