Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, a veteran actress, made news after correcting a fan who referred to her incorrectly on social media.
This comes only days after she revealed that she takes occasional getaways from the media.
Dami Adenuga, a former Twitter user, published a video of Omotola on his page on Monday, referring to her as “Omotola Johnson.”
The video in question was an earlier film in which the actress explained why she periodically takes time away from Nollywood.
His message instantly drew Omotola’s notice, and she immediately reprimanded the admirer.
The award-winning actress pointed out that simply using her first name would have sufficed, as it is already trademarked.
She responded: “Omotola Johnson? Lol… please, just call me OMOTOLA. That will suffice. It’s trademarked.”
This interaction follows Omotola’s recent comments about her intermittent absences from the Nigerian film industry.
She revealed that after working continuously for many years, she takes these breaks to relax, reflect, and recharge.
Having started her acting career at the age of 15, Omotola explained that the demanding nature of her profession makes it essential for her to step away from time to time in order to maintain her passion and creativity.
