Nigerian Islamic singer Rukayat Gawat Oyefeso has passed away, as announced by Ilorin-based cleric Alfa Aribidesi At-Tawdeeh on his Facebook page.
Jubril Aawat, a media aide to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos state, also posted a terse tweet on X, saying “Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return. Q 2 V 156.”
Rukayat was famous for her beautiful voice that touched the hearts of many in the Muslim community.
