Edo election: ‘There are more APC in PDP NWC’ – Dino Melaye

Dino Melaye loses PDP Senate Primaries in unprecedented manner

Dino Melaye, the former Senator of Kogi West, has asserted that the Peoples Democratic Party’s National Working Committee has been infiltrated by the All Progressives Congress, under the leadership of acting National Chairman, Umar Damagun.

Melaye expressed this belief in response to the outcome of the recent governorship election in Edo State.

Through a post on social media, Melaye criticized Damagun, stating that the Edo State election result indicated his intentions to harm the party.

According to Dino Melaye: “With the destroyer called Damagun on the wheels, PDP is in the departure lounge waiting for the boarding pass.

“Edo experience will be a joke, there are more APC in the NWC than PDP.”

The PDP candidate, Asue Ighodalo, was defeated in the election, receiving 247,274 votes compared to the APC candidate, Monday Okpebholo, who won with 291,667 votes.

Melaye has previously accused Damagum of trying to sabotage the PDP.
