Gabriel Jesus and Riccardo Calafiori squandered early chances. Leandro Trossard also had two chances but shot wide.
In the second half, Riznyk denied Trossard’s penalty, and David Raya made an important late save to keep Pedrinho out.
Mikel Merino and Raheem Sterling entered the game after halftime.
