Bobrisky has denied allegations that he paid human rights lawyer Femi Falana or his son Falz in exchange for a presidential pardon.
This comes after Falana and Falz issued an ultimatum, seeking an apology within 12 hours for claims made in an audio tape.
Bobrisky allegedly claimed that Falz and his father promised him a presidential pardon in exchange for N10 million during his six-month term for naira abuse.
Falana’s legal team, however, has determined that these assertions are untrue and defamatory, thereby hurting Falana’s reputation.
Falana’s lawyers demanded that the comment be completely retracted and that it be publicly apologized for in all venues where it was made.
If Bobrisky does not cooperate within 12 hours, Falana will take legal action and seek monetary damages.
Reacting, Bobrisky denied giving money for a pardon, claimed he wasn’t the person in the viral audio clip, and stated he didn’t publish defamatory statements about Falana or Falz.
Instead, Bobrisky shifted responsibility to VDM, who published the audio online.
