Singer Damini Ogulu, aka Burna Boy, has surpassed Tems to become the Nigerian artist with the most charting singles in US Billboard Hot 100 history.
Burna achieved this feat by breaking a tie with Tems with the chart debut of Cold Play’s ‘We Pray’, which features him, LittleSimz, Elyanna, and TiniStoessel.
‘We Pray’ debuted at No. 87 on this week’s Hot 100, increasing Burna Boy’s entries on the chart to six.
Tems has five entries on the chart, while Wizkid, the first Nigerian artist to debut, has four eateries. Rema, CKay, Fireboy, Davido, and Lojay each have one entry.
Burna Boy is one song from breaking South Africa’s Seether’s record as the African artist with the most Billboard Hot 100 chart entries ever.
