On Saturday afternoon, Napoli maintained their lead in Serie A with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Lecce.

Giovanni Di Lorenzo, who had a goal disallowed in the first half, scored the game-winner in the 73rd minute, maintaining Napoli’s lead in the rankings.

Lecce, coming off a 6-0 loss to Fiorentina, fought hard against Antonio Conte’s team.

Despite several counterattacks, including a Federico Baschirotto header that was pushed off the line, Lecce turned the game around.

Controversy came in the 61st minute when Matteo Politano went down after a head collision with Lameck Banda, but VAR upheld the no-foul decision.

Finally, Di Lorenzo pounced on a rebound following a Scott McTominay header, securing the win for Napoli.

Lecce, with only three goals in nine matches, struggled to find an equalizer, while Napoli remained in control as league leaders.
