Liverpool seized the lead when Mohamed Salah scored a penalty awarded after Levi Colwill fouled Jones.
Salah’s sixth goal of the season provided Liverpool the lift they needed, but Chelsea equalized early in the second half through Nicolas Jackson after a VAR review reversed an offside call.
However, just 76 seconds later, Jones restored Liverpool’s lead by capitalizing on a Salah cross, securing three vital points for the hosts.
