Nigerian singer Dr Sid, also known as Sydney Esiri, has confirmed his relocation to the United States of America.
During a recent appearance on the ‘No Man’s Friend’ podcast on YouTube, the ‘Over The Moon’ artist revealed that he made the move after securing a job in the U.S.
In Dr Sid’s words:
“I now live in the U.S. I left Nigeria last year after I got a job with a company in New York that offered me an opportunity to move to the States and live anywhere in the U.S.
“I’ve family in Houston, my best friend lives here so Houston, Texas was an easy choice. And that is it. I’ve been working here for the last one year and a half.”
Dr Sid rose to fame in 2002 as a member of Da Trybe, where he featured on the Hip-hop hit ‘Oya’ alongside other artists like Sasha, 2-Shotz, and more.
In 2003, he released his debut solo single ‘Don’t Stop’ before taking a break from music to complete his university degree and pursue a career as a qualified dentist.
