Jay-Z and the NFL are standing on business after all the viral reactions to Kendrick Lamar headlining next year’s halftime show.
JAY-Z has often stated that he is more than a businessman; he is a business, man.
His most recent move underlines this.
For example, the entrepreneur has renewed his contract with the NFL, ensuring that Roc Nation remains in first place for the Super Bowl Halftime Show.
In 2019, HOV and the NFL signed a five-year agreement.
The partnership placed Roc Nation as co-producer for the worldwide recognized spectacle. It brought record-breaking ratings for Halftimes by Usher, Jennifer Lopez, and Shakira.
Now, the league has verified that the agreement has been renewed.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell revealed the news at the league’s annual owners meeting in Atlanta.
Goodell deemed the relationship as “mutually positive” and added:
“I’m not sure either one of us really spend much time talking about contracts. Jay is happy. Desiree Perez is happy. I’m happy, so we’re all good.”
Details haven’t been divulged, and the new term is not known as of this writing.
What is for sure is that Roc Nation looks set to be at the helm of halftime in the foreseeable future.
And we’re here for it!
