Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing has publicly apologized to the Theater Arts and Motion Picture Practitioners of Nigeria TAMPAN and its president, Bolaji Amusan, also known as Mr Latin.
In 2021, Nkechi and Iyabo Ojo publically opposed Baba Ijesha’s alleged defiling of Nigerian comedienne Princess’ foster daughter, which the association did not approve of.
They had also argued with some TAMPAN members, like Yomi Fabiyi and Lege Maimi, who chastised them for openly criticizing Baba Ijesha.
Following this, Veteran actor Jide Kosoko, during a press briefing, took action against them, barring directors in the association from working with them.
Reacting to this, Nkechi mocked the association’s decision, stating they were threatening to frustrate people who could feed their entire generation until the end. She went on to call the association one of lawlessness.
A month later, Nkechi apologized for everything she said, adding that she was disrespectful to Jide Kosoko and TAMPAN.
Now, at the Celebrities Entertainment Awards in Canada, Nkechi took to the stage to apologize to Mr Latin and TAMPAN. In a video making rounds, She is seen on her knees with a microphone as she apologizes to the association.
