Super Eagles move up three places in latest FIFA ranking

Ebuehi, Sadiq to join Super Eagles camp

Nigeria’s Super Eagles have climbed three places in the most recent men’s ranking released by FIFA. The three-time African champions, previously ranked 39th globally, have now moved up to 36th. In Africa, they have also risen from sixth to fourth position.

This improvement comes after the Super Eagles secured a 1-0 victory over Libya in a 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in October, their only match for the month. Morocco, Senegal, and Egypt are the only nations ranked higher than Nigeria on the continent.

Argentina remains at the top of the rankings, followed by France and Spain. England and Brazil complete the top five teams worldwide.

The next FIFA World Ranking is scheduled to be published on November 28th.
