The presidency has provided insights regarding President Bola Tinubu’s journey to France after an extended stay in the United Kingdom.
Currently, the President is on a two-week leave and he left the UK for France on Friday.
His trip to France has sparked criticism, with many questioning Tinubu’s absence from Nigeria and why he is unable to take his leave in the country.
In response, President Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, stated that his principal is free to spend his leave wherever he chooses.
Onanuga wrote: “President Tinubu is on leave for two weeks. He is not restricted to the UK.
“It is his private time. He can go anywhere he so desires.
“He is still observing his leave.”
