Abimbola Craig, an actress and film producer, has explained why she remains unmarried at the age of 38.

In an open talk with media personality Chude Jideonwo, Abimbola stated her cynicism about marriage, calling it “a scam.”

She criticized the typical duties allocated to women in marriages, claiming they are frequently expected to manage the household and meet their husbands’ wants.

The actress suggested that the title “Mrs” may mean “Master’s in Residential Servicing.”

However, she did underline that her decision to remain single is not motivated by a rejection of marriage.

Instead, she focuses on finding a partner with self-awareness and a clear purpose.

“All marriage is a scam,” she said.

“When I was small, my mum always told me marriage is an institution. She said when they call you ‘Mrs,’ it stands for ‘Master’s in Residential Servicing.’

“I am not married, not because I do not want to be married, but if you are a man who does not know who he is, you cannot be with me.”

Best known for her role as Tiwalade in the popular web series Skinny Girl in Transit, Abimbola has also established herself behind the scenes, co-producing the 2019 box office hit Sugar Rush alongside Jade Osiberu.

Earlier this year, she opened up about a life-threatening experience following brain surgery in 2014.

Abimbola recalled the severe complications she faced, including nausea, insomnia, and significant weight loss, which left her fearing for her life.
