Bimpe Akintunde, an actress, has expressed concerns about an impersonator who is using her name and picture to scam innocent people.

She posted screenshots of a WhatsApp discussion in which the impostor scammed her fans.
Outraged by the deception, Bimpe chastised the fraudster and condemned individuals who want to benefit dishonestly from the efforts of others.
“What a morning. Tell me how this country wants to be great, when a lot of people are struggling, working hard to build a name and brand, and boom, one person will take their pictures and name only to be defrauding ppl up and down. Who gave birth to such a child? awon oloriburuku omo, ki oluwa ma je ki won ya lodo wa oooooooo,” she wrote.
She cautioned her followers to be vigilant, warning them not to fall victim to the fraud.
“Please disregard any message from anyone, either in your DM or WhatsApp, asking you to send money. Please, it’s not me o; I don’t own this above number o. I would appreciate it if we could find a way to report both the WhatsApp and the Opay account.”
Bimpe also named the impersonator as “Tochukwu Samuel O” and added a series of curses, expressing hope that the scammer sees her post.
“Ko ni da fun e, omo ofo, I am sure you are gonna see this because you took the pic from my page and profile name. Ti e ko ni da, wa pare maye ni lola ojo eni yii.”
In the comment section of her post, the actress clarified that her own WhatsApp accounts had not been compromised. She revealed that the scammer had used information taken directly from her social media profiles to deceive others.
