Afrobeats star Davido, also known as David Adeleke, has extended his congratulations to Donald Trump on his re-election as the 47th President of the United States.
He also expressed his sympathies to Vice President Kamala Harris on her loss in the presidential election, describing her as a strong woman and encouraging her to take pride in her achievements.
On his X handle, the singer wrote, “Congratulations 47th POTUS @realDonaldTrump. But you @KamalaHarris should be proud! You did that! A solid woman.”
In a recent statement, Davido disclosed that he cast his vote for the first time in an American election. Born in Atlanta, he did not disclose the candidate he supported.
