President Bola Tinubu claimed to have brought sunshine from Nigeria to France during a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife.
While posing for pictures with Macron, an onlooker asked Tinubu: “I hope you are not too cold?”
Responding, the Nigerian president said: “I’m not cold. I brought sunshine from Nigeria.”
Tinubu also urged French investors to take advantage of the business opportunities in Nigeria, promising to create a conducive environment for their success.
During a joint press conference at the Elysee Palace, Tinubu emphasized his administration’s efforts to improve the security situation in Nigeria.
He said: “We’ve been working on stabilizing the security system in Nigeria and we are getting closer and closer.
“We are doing better now in the area of security. I can assure all the investors that Nigeria is open for business.
“This, I will emphasize, is why we need the French experts and investors to do more in this area to help develop our youth population.”
