Miss South Africa 2024, Mia Le Roux, will not compete at the upcoming Miss Universe competition. The Miss South Africa Organisation announced this morning that Mia has had to withdraw owing to health reasons.
Mia thanked her fans in a touching message, saying, “I am truly grateful for the constant support from South Africa during my time at Miss Universe.
Making this decision has been extremely difficult, given the ambitions and hopes that have been placed in me. However, I am happy for the opportunity to focus on my health and recovery to continue serving my country at full vigor.”
The Miss South Africa Organisation praised Mia’s bravery, saying, “Mia has shown incredible courage and grace throughout this difficult period. Her health and wellbeing are our utmost priority, and we stand by her side, dedicated to ensuring she regains her strength and returns to full health. Our hearts are with her as she takes the necessary steps toward recovery.”
Though Mia’s absence will be felt, her health and wellbeing remain the priority. South Africa will continue to support her as she focuses on her recovery journey.
