Paulo Okoye, a Nigerian event promoter, has defended music singer Davido against criticism for his statement about Africa’s economy being in disarray.
In a recent interview, Davido warned black Americans not to relocate to Africa. He warned them against making such movements, explaining that it was not cool in Africa because the economy was in chaos.
Davido, on the other hand, made it clear that he was not disparaging Africa; rather, he intended to highlight the minor details while excluding the slums.
Many people reacted negatively to his statement. Coming to his defense, Paulo told them to leave the singer alone as he concurred that Davido spoke the truth. He noted how Nigeria’s current economic state is bad, with global companies leaving and local businesses facing significant losses.
“Please make una leave Davido alone, mad people.
Davido spoke the truth Nigeria’s current economic state is so bad. With global companies leaving and local businesses facing significant losses, it’s clear we are facing challenges. Let’s acknowledge the reality and work towards a better future. God bless Nigeria”.
