Social media critic, Daniel Regha has provided his critique of ‘Seven Doors,’ the latest endeavor from renowned Nigerian actor Femi Adebayo.
Recognized for his incisive and frequently harsh evaluations, Regha unexpectedly rated the film above the average threshold, awarding it a score of 5.5/10.
In his assessment, he acknowledged the film’s strengths while also identifying several aspects where it did not meet expectations.
Regha commended the movie’s narrative and cinematography, lauding the visual allure of the production.
Nonetheless, he pointed out a significant deficiency in the film’s costuming.
As per Regha’s observations, certain characters were depicted wearing fashion accessories from the 20th and 21st centuries, which were inconsistent with the 18th or 19th-century backdrop of the movie.
One specific instance he noted was the Queen’s nightwear, which appeared chronologically misplaced during a crucial scene involving her son’s spiritual assault.
In addition to the costuming critique, Daniel Regha also addressed the film’s pacing.
He remarked that the inaugural episode lacked a cohesive narrative thread, resulting in the impression that two disparate films were being fused into a single narrative.
The second episode, according to Regha, experienced a deficient buildup and failed to create suspense, thereby diminishing the overall viewing pleasure.
Another aspect that drew his criticism was the film’s dialogue.
Daniel Regha conveyed his dissatisfaction regarding the extended conversations and the English subtitles, indicating that they fell short of the anticipated quality.
Despite these shortcomings, Regha specifically highlighted the performance of actor Aliu Gafar, who portrayed Esusu.
He praised Gafar’s interpretation of the character, asserting that he executed his role with exceptional precision.
