Ghana’s President-elect, John Mahama, paid President Bola Tinubu a courtesy call at the Presidential Villa on Monday.
Dada Olusegun, Tinubu’s personal assistant for social media, revealed this in a post on X on Tuesday.
Mr. Olusegun wrote, “The President-Elect of Ghana, H.E. John Dramani Mahama, paid a courtesy visit to President Tinubu at his residence, the Presidential Villa, State House, yesterday.”
The visit comes after Tinubu congratulated Mahama after his victory in Ghana’s December 7 general election.
During a recent telephone call, Tinubu expressed optimism that Mahama’s return to leadership would strengthen stability within the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
He also highlighted his anticipation of working with Mahama’s incoming administration to enhance bilateral ties and foster progress across West Africa.
