Inter Miami forward Lionel Messi credits Pep Guardiola and Ronaldinho for having a significant impact on his development during his time at Barcelona.
Messi made his debut for the LaLiga club when Ronaldinho was still there, serving as a mentor to the young player.
However, it was under Guardiola’s guidance that the Argentina captain truly flourished and became unstoppable.
When asked about people who marked his time at Camp Nou the most, Messi first chose Guardiola, “because I had him as a coach for many years and we achieved incredible things that we would never have imagined.
“A teammate was Ronaldinho because of the way he received me, how he helped me, and how helped me a lot in my first moments in the first team”.
